Itinerary

Main stop

Ul. Među bedemima, 23000 Grad Zadar

Start your walk at the Land Gate. Just open Ciceru nearby to begin exploring this monumental Venetian entrance from the outside, where triumphal arches, Doric columns, and the Lion of Saint Mark announce imperial power.

Trg pet bunara, 23000 Grad Zadar

Stand in Five Wells Square and view the five stone wellheads above the former moat, an outdoor reminder that Zadar survived sieges through engineering as much as walls.

23000 Zadar

Walk across People’s Square and observe the City Guard building, the clock tower, and the Loggia façades, the open air civic heart of Zadar for nearly a thousand years.

Obala kralja Petra Krešimira IV, 23000 Grad Zadar

Stroll along the Riva and take in the open waterfront, where former city walls gave way to parks, sea views, and public space shaped by history and rebuilding.

Zeleni trg, 23000 Grad Zadar

Pause beside the Roman column and notice the chains still hanging from the stone, a public monument to justice, humiliation, and medieval crowd control.

Trg Svete Stosije 2, 23000 Zadar

Stand before the Romanesque façade of St. Anastasia’s Cathedral and observe the rose windows, carved portals, and bell tower rising above the square.

Obala kralja Petra Kresimira IV, 23000 Zadar

Sit on the marble steps and listen to the Sea Organ, where waves push air through hidden pipes to create an ever changing outdoor concert.

Istarska Obala, 23000 Zadar

Wrap up your tour at the Greeting to the Sun. Take a moment to stand on the glass circle, watch the light change, and enjoy the Adriatic sunset before ending your walk.
